❊ La permisibilidad para un hombre [wali (tutor)] de ofrecer en matrimonio su hija a un hombre piadoso, y es algo del cual el padre no debe sentir vergüenza. De hecho esto es una indicación de su cuidado y preocupación por ella, contrariamente a dejarla y el que ella se exponga a caer en errores lamentables, o hacerla sentir que ella es una cautiva en su casa - simplemente porque ella no tiene un esposo.<br />
<br />
❊ No hay nada de malo con el padre que ofrece a su hija para matrimonio incluso si él [e. el hombre a quien se le propone] ya está casado. Aqui tenemos a ‘Umar ofreciendo a su hija en matrimonio a Abu Bakr quien estaba ya casado en aquel momento, sin importar la edad de Hafsah que en aquel entonces era aproximadamente veinte años, y esto ha sido reportado que ella nació cinco años antes que el Profeta reciba la revelación.<br />
